Sunday will be a nice outdoor day. With a mix of sun and clouds, high temperatures will be back into the upper 80's. There will be a 30% chance of scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. As the cold front moves into the area Monday, a 40% chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms is expected. the high on Monday will be near 87.
The cold front is expected to move south of the area by Monday night. Cooler and drier air will move into North Carolina. A mostly sunny sky is expected Tuesday through Thursday with highs in the lower 80's and overnight lows near 60.
