CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte police say four men are dead after their car slammed into a utility pole.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Lt. David Sloan says that the accident happened early Friday and is still under investigation.
Sloan says officers think that the car was speeding when the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a curb and crashed into the pole before landing on its roof.
Sloan says two of the people were thrown from the car, and the other two were trapped inside.
None of the victims' names have been released.
