Greensboro, NC-- NC A&T State University announce Monday afternoon that Wheeler Brown will take over immediately as the new Athletic Director.
Brown doesn't have to travel far. He's been the interim since November 2007. His contract is for three years.
The announcement was made at a 1pm news conference, Monday.
Brown will replace Delores Todd who was named Athletic Director in May 2005 and resigned from the position in November 2007.
Todd remains at the University in the School Of Education.
Brown is no stranger to NC A&T, he is a former student and football player for the University.
He is also the former Assistant Athletic Director for Bowie State.
He graduated from A&T in 1979.
