A win is what every true fan looks for, but to hang around for a 27 game losing streak. You've got to be more than a fan, the tailgaters told WFMY News 2, you need to have Aggie Pride.
Call it what you want. Cooking out, frying fish, broiling burgers, it's official tailgating at A&T.
"A bunch of us got together years ago, and decided that we wanted to get together for every A&T homegame., and it's been like that for the last 20-25 years," said '69 graduate Bill Partee.
"We've been doin' it for twenty-five years, we come rain sleet or snow, in the hotel we tailgate in the parking lot, we tailgate, we tailgate, we tailgate," said Blondine Wynn, who hasn't missed a home game tailgate in over 20 years.
And the friends, family, and football, gets best fans through the worst losing streaks. This last one for the Bulldogs was 27 games. It didn't discourage this tailgate team.
"We'll be here for 27 more, win lose or draw, our thing is the comradery, all my friends, all the people, we enjoy ourselves by seeing eachother," said '69 graduate Henry Dalton.
Apparently if you mix the beans, the buns, the burgers just right, you can feed the hunger for victory.
