Greensboro United Way Celebrates 2008 Campaign Success

Organizers say they met their goal, despite the tough economy.

The campaign chair says the economy was in a free fall for much of last year.

But he says he knew the community would step up.

The United Way also teamed up with WFMY News 2 for Operation Greensboro Cares this winter.

That program raised more than $400,000 to help families meet their emergency needs.
