Greensboro, NC -- A 16-year-old Page High School student was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police suspected he carried a weapon onto school property.
According to Greensboro Police, School Resource Officer A.B. Edwards received information that the student was in possession of a firearm. Edwards located Marcus Fox and during a search felt what he believed to be a gun. Fox ran away from the officer.
The search for Fox prompted officials at Page High and nearby St Pius X Catholic School to be put their schools on lockdown. The suspect was caught and arrested a short time later.
Marcus Fox is facing charges of Assault on a Government Official (principal), Resist, Delay, and Obstruct and Possession of a firearm on educational property.
