Danville, VA-- In February, 2009, the Danville Police Department began investigating a fraud complaint filed by the Harvest Jubilee Committee Inc. As the result of that investigation, Danville Police filed charges against John Burton Vick age 35 of Edenton, North Carolina.
Investigators charged Vick with felony obtaining money under false pretenses. Vick is charged with obtaining a total of $85,000.00 under false pretenses.
On March 7, 2009, Vick was arrested for a felony bad check charge ($35,000) in Edenton. He was released under conditions that he show up for court proceedings in Danville today. The bad check charge stemmed from the same incident.
Friday morning, Vick came to Danville to be served with the two obtain money by false pretense charges. He was released on a $6,000.00 unsecured bond pending court proceedings.
