Burlington, NC -- Burlington Police say a man who was intentionally hitting another car while driving, died in a crash early Saturday morning.
It all started on North Mebane Street just before 6:00am, when a 911 caller said their car was being hit by another vehicle. They told dispatchers the suspect vehicle was being driven by an aquaintance and described the car.
Police were able to catch up with the suspect and sttempted to stop the car near Brooks Street. The driver did stop, but pulled away as an officer approached the car.
Police attempted to follow the car, but lost sight and discontinued the chase. The car was later found crashed on West Front Street near West Willowbrook Avenue.
The driver, Randy Michael Warren, 30, of Burlington, was pronounced dead at the scene.
