Pleasant Garden, NC -- A program providing free food and activities to Pleasant Garden seniors is feeling the effect of the economy. Senior Resources of Guilford County wants more than $7,500 for the program. But the town council only budgeted $5,100. On Tuesday, organizers passed out surveys asking seniors what parts of the program are most important. The town council is considering decreasing the number of meetings, limiting how many people can attend, or asking seniors to pay a small amount to help cover costs.
