Greensboro, NC -- NC A&T State University honored a longtime Greensboro community leader and A&T alumna Thursday night. The School of Education established the "Shirley T. Frye Distinguised Professorship in Urban Education." It received a $500,000 grant for the professorship. The money will enable the university to recruit facutly who educate teachers, administrators and school counselors. Frye, a former VP of Community Relations here at News 2, says people who go into education help an "immeasureable" number of people, and that you're never too old to learn.
