North Carolina-- Randolph County's Ched Chriscoe is North Carolina's most recent millionaire. The Seagrove man won $1 million when he Power Played his September 23 Powerball ticket and matched all five white balls drawn.
Chriscoe used his wedding anniversary for two of the numbers on his ticket and then quick-picked the rest. He says he will share the more than $678,000 he received after taxes with his family, use some to fix up his house, and save the rest.
He purchased his winning ticket at the Short Stop on East Dixie Drive in Asheboro.
