High Point, NC -- Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

A Triad man saved a stranger's life, 30,000 feet in the air.

James Ostmann, a registered nurse, treated an 81-year-old woman aboard a flight from Chicago to Charlotte Tuesday.

Ostmann helped flight attendants create a mobile emergency room on the plane.

He started an IV and gave the woman medicine for her chest pain.

Ostmann thinks she had a stroke and a heart attack.

Ostmann was not originally supposed to be on that flight. He had rescheduled from an earlier flight.

He does not know how the woman's doing now.

Ostmann says it's the second time this year that he helped a person suffering from a medical problem on a flight.
