Greensboro, NC -- Two Greensboro universities are unveiling a new research facility.
UNCG and NC A&T held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday for the joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. It is at the south campus of Gateway University Research Park on E. Lee St. Students will research atoms and molecules in hopes of learning more about technology. "Cooperation between NC A&T and UNCG has just been fantastic," said Ed Kitchen with Gateway University. "And when you put those two aspects together, I don't think there's any stopping us." Gateway University leaders say the new research facility will contribute $250 million to the local economy over 20 years.
