New Jail Will Bring New Jobs To Greensboro

Greensboro, NC -- A new jail in downtown Greensboro is likely to put close to 2,300 people to work over the next few years.

The Business Journal's Justin Catanoso says this jail will be a job generator over the next two years.

DH Griffin will be working on the site. A $115 million bond is paying for construction. The new jail is expected tol be done in 2011. When it opens, it's expected to employ 300 people.

During the GMS, Justin also gave details on a Burlington food manufacturer planning to relocate and expand their operations.
