Reidsville, NC -- Rockingham County District Attorney Phillip Berger has ruled that a shot that killed 19-year-old Holden Ledbetter in February was accidental.

An investigation conduction by the Reidsville Police Department along with the SBI concluded that the shot was an accidental discharge.  Detectives say that no drugs or alcohol played a part in the shooting.

On February 27, 2009, police were called to a home on Wentworth Street in response to a 911 call from the residence.  Upon arriving, they found Ledbetter lying dead in the doorway of a front bedroom.  A gun was recovered at the scene.
