
High Point, NC -- The North Carolina Department of Revenue will not be providing printed tax forms or instruction books for distribution this year to any library or post office.
The new change means that thousands of people who go to the library to get the forms will have to find another way to get what they need. Librarians will assist in helping customers get the forms they need. You'll be able to use the Public Computing Center at the library to E-File and Web Fill-In your froms and to print the Traditional Web Form. Federal Tax Forms will still be free at the library.
Here's How You Can Get State Tax Forms:
Order Forms & Instructions/Receive by Mail- Call directly at 1-877-252-3052 or by visting the NC Department of Revenue website.
Traditional Web Form- Print out State Tax Forms by visitng the NC Department of Revenue website
E-File the State and Federal Tax Returns- You may also E-File your state taxes on the NC Department of Revenue website
You can choose one of the many companies listed from the IRS website to transmit your federal return.
Local Service Center Options Include:
-NC tax forms and booklets for customers to pick up
-They prepare NC tax returns at no charge
-Customers will need to bring their completed federal return and their W2 and/or 1099R
-They review completed NC tax returns and make corrections

Winston-Salem Office: 8025 Northpoint Boulevard, Suite 250 Phone: 896-7024. Taxpayer assistance M-F from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. by appointment only. Forms available outside the office in the lobby on the second floor which is open from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
NOTE: Photocopies, scanned versions and faxes of forms will not be accepted
