Deputy Searching For Firearm Stolen From Cruiser

Davidson County, NC -- A semi automatic weapon is still missing, nearly a week after someone stole it from a davidson county deputy's cruiser. The sheriff's department says the .223 caliber rifle was the deputy's personal weapon, and he was qualified to carry it on patrol. He had it in the trunk but the lock was broken. The department made an appointment to fix the lock but it wasn't fixed by the time a theif found it. Sometime Wednesday, August 9th or Thursday, August 10th, someone stole it, according to deputies.

A tactical light, holographic sight, and 10 and 30 round M16 magazines.
