Danbury, NC -- Emergency crews continued their search this morning, for two Stokes County children missing since before noon Tuesday.

Teams of five searched on land and in the woods through the night.

The sheriff's department says 4-year-old J.W. and 3-year-old Jacob White disappeared between 11:00am and noon Tuesday. They were last seen on Hicks Farm Road near Dan River Family Restaurant, which is near Highway 8 and Highway 89 in Stokes County.

Family members say they aren't allowed to help in the field, so the boys' mother, Melissa White, waited for news at the command post.

One more concern for rescue crews is that both boys were not wearing shoes when they went missing. J.W. was wearing camouflage shorts and a yellow shirt with decals. Jacob was wearing dark shorts and no shirt. Rescuers are concerned the boys may get hypothermia if they got into the water.

Call the Stokes County Sheriff's Department at 593-8139 if you see them.
