Children Charged With Shooting At School Bus

Henry County, VA -- Investigators in Henry County Virginia say two pre-teens fired at a school bus coming from Axton Elementary School.

The bus had stopped to let off students on Robin Road in the Piedmont Estates area. That's when the driver says shots hit the window. She drove to a safe location and called police.

Deputies say the teens were using an air gun to shoot at the bus. No one was hurt in the incident, but an 11 year old and a 12 year old were charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, which is a felony. Also, each was charged with a misdemeanor count of damaging property.

Both juveniles were taken to W.W. Moore Detention facility.
