Greensboro, NC -- Part of the fun of the holidays is decorating your home for the season.
While some ornaments will always hold great sentimental value, why not consider sprucing things up a bit this year?
Even if you don't believe you have an eye for design, anyone can turn their home into a winter wonderland.

Allthingschristmas.com offers 101 easy ideas for Christmas decor.
But never underestimate the advice of a professional. Jessica Dauray owns Elements of Style Interiors. Featured in Better Homes and Gardens and on Martha Stewart Radio, Dauray often caters to high-end clientele. But she shared some secrets with WFMY's Maila Rible on Tuesday morning. Dauray says it doesn't have to cost a lot of cash, or effort, to get a great effect.
Inexpensive ornaments and natural materials are the mainstays of a traditional Christmas. The trick is to come up with a color scheme, maybe use some unique materials and most importantly: relax!
"Don't feel like you have to overdo it. My whole philosophy with decorating, whether it's holiday decorating or just decorating you home is "less is more." Spend that time with your family, do a couple of interesting elements, showstoppers, don't worry about every single table being covered with ornaments and decor." Another tip for family friendly decor can be summed up two words: unbreakable ornaments, which Duaray says can look as lovely as glass.
Traditional designs are always a great way to create a classic look. Dauray says the "Williamsburg Fan" is a staple of colonial decor. For instructions on how to create the display, send Dauray an e-mail. Her contact information can be found at www.elementsofstyleinteriors.com.
