Help Name Winston-Salem Children's Home's Baby Donkey

Winston-Salem, NC -- The Children's Home Farm in Winston-Salem has a new baby.

Donkey parents, Jack and Becky had the baby Saturday. Workers there say the baby is the spitting image of his father Jack. The little one doesn't have a name. Home leaders are holding a contest to name him. Anyone can enter online through January 9 by clicking here.

The Children's Home, Inc. has cared for children, families, and individuals in need for nearly 100 years.

With campuses in Winston Salem and Franklin, The Home has operates in Western North Carolina as a place "Where Children and Families Matter Most."

In recent years, The Children's Home has undergone significant changes, including becoming licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Mental Health Residential Treatment Center.

The Home is also licensed as a Mental Health Day Treatment Program and a Child Placing Agency for Family Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care. Most recently, The Home officially became a licensed Adoption Agency, specializing in foster-to-adopt placements.

The Children's Home is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and by the United Methodist Association's Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward Excellence (EAGLE) program.

The home's mission is to grow healthy futures for children, adults and families by ministering to the mind, body and spirit.
