
Raleigh, NC-- North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Jim Long announced Friday the arrest of a Greensboro woman for "Slip and Fall" schemes.
Investigators with the Department of Insurance say they arrested 34 year old Lakasha Delshonne Evans. She lives on Phillips Avenue.
She was arrested Thursday, August 28th and charged with three counts of obtaining property by false pretense. She was processed at the Guilford County jail and released under a written promise to appear in court on October 10th.
Evans confessed to staging falls at Walmart, Pier 1 and Dollar General stores in Rowan County from November 2006 to September 2007. She received some $12,000 from the stores as compensation for her "injuries."
