Burlington, NC -- Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a McDonalds on South Church Street in Burlington Monday night.
An employee tells investigators that a man with a gun approached him in the parking lot behind the restaurant and demanded money. The employee says he went back into the restaurant through the rear door.
He says the suspect also entered the restaurant wearing what is described as a "monster type" mask on his head. He showed a handgun and demanded money. The employee ran out of the restaurant and at which point the suspect fled the business without getting any cash.
