Bean Station, TN-- Two suspects are in federal custody in Grainger County after being accused of counterfeiting and fraud, in an eight-month investigation.

Grainger County deputies and several other agencies, including the U.S. Secret Service, found a man and woman in a Bean Station home Tuesday, after finding items that could be used to counterfeit money from Walmart stores in Tennessee and South Carolina.

They're accused of using elaborate software to make fake IDs and paychecks.

"The individuals making the fraud checks and fraud IDs go into Sam's Club and then go to Walmarts... and make huge transactions," Sheriff Scott Layel said.

Suspects are responsible for at least $1 million worth of stolen products from the stores, mostly high end products.

Authorities also seized a dozen weapons, some marijuana and drug products from the home.

"You have tax evasion, money laundering, counterfeiting, theft," Layel described some of the crimes the duo could case.

Officials have not released the suspect's names, and say there could be more arrests to come.
