GREENSBORO -  Thursday night, the public will see a female officiate a NFL game for the first time. That news has started conversations about how the nation is now seeing women.

Last month, the new CEO of Yahoo was named and it is a woman. The last three Secretary of States for the US have been women. Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice and now former first lady Hillary Clinton.

News 2 wanted to know, is society finally allowing women to go places they haven't been before, or are women seeing themselves in those roles and making it happen?

For that answer we interviewed one of the top women in the Triad, Denise Turner Roth, Greensboro's City Manager.

Turner Roth is the first woman to hold the job and said the work of women in the past paved the way and women today are very aware.
