NEW YORK-- Police in New York are investigating the death of a worker from a 'freak' accident in the Bronx.
The man was killed Tuesday around 11 a.m. According to CBS New York, the victim was pinned under a large refrigeration unit that was being lifted.
The unit came crashing down outside a building on Grand Concourse at 173rd Street, almost in front of Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
The unit was attached to a chain, which witnesses said snapped.
The man was taken to Bronx Lebanon, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The accident remains under investigation.
