
Lawrenceville, GA -- The FAA is investigating the crash of a twin engine Cessna 310 into a home in Gwinnett County. The location is in the 2300 block of Walker Drive.
The plane had just let Gwinnett's Briscoe Field en route to Tennessee. Witnesses said they saw a fire at the location of the crash, and fire crews were working to contain the flames. Witnesses at the scene say one house was destroyed by the crash and fire, but that fire crews have put the fire out. Two people were killed in the crash -- one was a woman inside the home, and the second was the pilot of the plane. The woman was inside the home with her husband when the crash happened, he was able to escape uninjured. A neighbor said that he was at home working on his computer when he heard a low-flying airplane, followed by a crash that blew his windows out. He said he dived under his desk, and when he came out, he saw that his neighbor's house was up in flames.
