Greensboro, NC -- A nearly 60-year-old healthcare system has a new name.
Moses Cone Health System changed its name Friday to Cone Health.
The company said the new Cone Health brand reflects the system's broad, widespread network of services and positions the system for continued growth.
"The new Cone Health brand will continue to honor the Cone family's name and their founding principles of exceptional patient care, community service and charitable care while it better positions the system to deliver high performing healthcare in the future by broadening our scope and visibility," said Tim Rice, president and CEO of Cone Health.
The Cone Health network has more than 100 interconnected locations, including five hospitals, two MedCenters, three urgent care centers, 55 physician practice sites and multiple centers of excellence.
Their network of services includes The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Wesley Long Community Hospital, The Women's Hospital of Greensboro, Annie Penn Hospital, Cone Behavioral Health Center, LeBauer HealthCare, MedCenter High Point, MedCenter Kernersville and various outpatient clinics and programs.
