Albany, NY -- Are you ready to hear the words "Madame President?"
Geena Davis plays the president on the TV series "Commander in Chief." But a poll commissioned by Hearst Newspapers finds a majority of American voters are ready to elect a woman president.
The survey, done by Siena College's Research Institute, finds that 79% of those asked say they're willing to vote for a woman.
Douglas Lonnstrom, the institute's director, says there's a real possibility a woman will be elected in 2008.
