East Stroudsburg, PA -- A Pennsylvania woman is trying to find the person who bought an eagle statuette at her daughter's moving sale.
That's because Sarah Volpe realized too late the eagle contained her son-in-law's ashes.
The eagle wasn't supposed to be sold, but Volpe's daughter, Jane Hanlon, had left it on her fireplace mantle with some of the items she was selling.
Hanlon says she doesn't blame her mother. She says it was her own fault she left it out.
The realization dawned on Volpe in the middle of the night. Now she says she's trying to find a "very sweet" brown-haired woman who bought the ten-inch-high black eagle for $30.
