Greensboro, NC - It's been a lifetime in the making.
I've dreamed about it.
I've fantasized about it.
Finally, it's a reality.
I had one item on my "bucket list." You know, the list of things you want to do before you "kick the bucket."
This was my chance.
I stood before a sparse, but ample crowd at NewBridge Bank Park, took a deep breath and let 'er rip!
It was my first time singing the Star Spangled Banner in public. Every time before that, I was in the shower or humming it at home during a ball game or just singing along quietly at an event.
But this time, it was all eyes on me.
I had a lot of friends at work and fans at the stadium saying, "You'll do fine!" And I wanted to believe them.
The final words I heard before my rendition came from my wife.
"You BETTER make me proud!"
But more than anything, I wanted to honor our country and those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. I wanted to remember the words! And I wanted to hit all those notes.
How did I do?
You be the judge!

I hope it's decent enough to make you smile and think of our great nation and our faithful God who has blessed us in these United States.
And I hope it makes you go out and do that one thing you've always wanted to do, but never thought you could.
