(Belgrade, MT)  --  It was a wild life adventure at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport this afternoon.

FWP spokesperson Andrea Jones says it's a young, male black bear who's orphaned.

When asked how they know she said because of no sounds or signs of a mother they could see nearby, so they could determine he's an orphan.

It's this year's cub and very small for six to 7 months old and only weighs an estimated 20 pounds..when he should weigh around 60 pounds..so that's more evidence he's orphaned.

He was in a tree when wildlife officials got close enough to him to be able to dart him with a jab stick and tumble in to a tarp or blanket and sleep for a little while.

Jones said the little bear would be evaluated for health and to assess his condition.

Bear specialists will talk over what the next steps are for the baby boy bear.

Airport director Brian Sprenger says the cub's appearance did not cause any delays says and he's not jettin' outta town.
