New York, NY -- You not might think of birdwatchers as thrill-seekers. But some Manhattan birdwatchers were perched high above the Hudson River, as superstorm Sandy pounded the Big Apple. The birdwatchers hoped to catch a glimpse of exotic feathered creatures that normally live thousands of miles away. Lawyer Peter Scully says the tropical birds hitch a ride in the eye of the storm and drop out as a hurricane hits land. There's even a name for the hobby: storm-birding.
