New York, NY -- Stripped down to their undies, from the waist down, hundreds of people rode New York City subway trains on Sunday minus their pants.
It was happening all over the United States and in other countries, the 12th Annual Pants Off Subway Ride.
The participants gathered in Central Park before making their way down to the subway train platform. A big cheer went up as the train arrived.
Then, as bemused riders already on the train watched, off came the pants.
Organizers said the idea was to entertain subway riders and make them laugh. As pantless riders got off the train, many of them waited, without their pants, for the next train.
