Milwaukee, WI -- How does cheesy garlic bread potato chips sound? Maybe you would prefer Thai hot sauce flavored chips, or chicken and waffles chips? Those are the final flavors in Frito-Lay's new potato chip contest. Karen Weber-Mendham of Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin, came up with the cheesy garlic bread idea.
She tells the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel she was inspired by her kids' love of garlic bread whenever the family goes to an Italian restaurant. The chip flavor creators are competing for a $1 million prize from Frito-Lay. The winner will be chosen by voters on Facebook, Twitter or by text until May 4.
