Washington, DC -- A woman who was told to pay $222,000 for the unauthorized downloading of copyrighted music has lost her appeal. The Supreme Court let the judgment stand without commenting. Jammie Thomas-Rasset had said the payment was too much. She's one of only two people accused of illegal downloading to go to trial. A student lost his case, too, and was told to pay $675,000.
