Bangor, ME -- Hundreds of Mainers got a special Father's Day gift one day early: reuniting with their loved ones.
Members of the 488th Military Police Unit returned home Saturday, and a large crowd of family and friends greeted them at the Army Reserve base in Bangor. One even got to see his daughter for the first time.
Soldiers say they are glad to be home, especially in time for the upcoming holiday.
The soldiers spent more than nine months in Afghanistan running security force operations before returning home
