Greensboro, NC--  On Thursday, Ann Romney made an appearance after raising money for her husband in Greensboro.

President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are in a political fist fight for North Carolina because your vote could decide the election. That means more commercials and more personal visits, going after your money and your vote.

News 2's Liz Crawford was there when Ann Romney spoke for no more than ten minutes on Thursday. She was in Greensboro for a fundraiser but she held an event after and focused her short speech on restoring America and rallying support.

"For the first time in the history of this country, people are saying to me, my children are not going to be better off than I am. That is not the way it's supposed to be in America. We have got to do something about that," Ann Romney said to the crowd.

Following the speech, Ann Romney posed for pictures and shook hands. People flooded the stage trying to snap photos. Inside, the Guilford County Republican headquarters were around 220 volunteers and supporters.

Ann Romney added, "We have got to bring back the opportunity and the hope that was promised to us three in a half years ago that has evaporated like smoke."

Prior to the event, Ann Romney attended a campaign fundraiser in Greensboro. It's being reported it was a $2,500 a plate luncheon.

Political visits are no surprise here in North Carolina, which is a swing state and crucial in this year's election. With so few states left up in the air, we can expect a lot of Romney and Obama campaign presence in the Triad and the state.
