Greensboro, NC -- Two restaurants had some corrections to make after inspectors found some major mistakes.
Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Winston-Salem earned a 90 during last week's inspection, and that included the restaurant's two bonus points from the "ServSafe" certification.
An inspector said she found a hat stored on a cutting board and cigars on a food prep table.
She also said an employee, who was preparing food, wasn't wearing any hair restraint.
The restaurant was also docked a point because food items had not been reheated to safe temperatures.
Khristi Cooper, the assistant manager of Dickey's, told News 2's Lauren Melvin that they made corrections immediately.
Cooper added that the inspector showed up when they had just opened for the day, so none of the employees were wearing their hats or hair restraints yet.
The Sirloin House Restaurant in Eden, Rockingham County, scored an 84 last week.
The inspector said the meat slicer was dirty, so were fryers, the refrigerator, freezer and other kitchen equipment.
According to the inspector, not only were food items on the buffet and in warming cabinets not the proper temperatures, this was the fifth time they were told to correct it.
The Sirloin House Manager, Sheree Bailey, told Lauren Melvin that they made all of the corrections. She also said that they've already called the health department to say they're ready for reinspection.
