Jonesville, NC -- Jonesville Police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile from Jonesville and charged the individual with GS 14-67.1 - "Burning a Structure Not Listed In Any Other Statute." That's after Jonesville Police Chief Roger Reece told WFMY News 2 three fire departments in Yadkin County were on the scene of a fire at a Dollar General in Jonesville for 17 hours, Saturday.

Chief Reece said the fire started at the store, located at 217 Winston Rd., at around 8:49pm, just before its 9pm closing time.

The last hot spots from the fire were extinguished just after 1:30pm on Sunday.

Flames were contained to the Dollar General. Firefighters worked hard to keep the flames from spreading to nearby businesses.

The North Carolina State SBI Arson Unit assisted with the investigation.

The store is located in the Starmount Crossing Shopping Center, which is a strip mall in the city.

Arlington, West Yadkin and Elkin fire departments were on-scene.

Chief Reece said the store is a complete loss.

No civilians or firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
