Greensboro, NC -- The Guilford Animal Shelter not only rescues dogs in crisis, it's employees and volunteers are finding those animals homes.
Shelter Director Marsha Williams tells News 2 that 8 of 17 dogs brought in from the Gulf Coast after Isaac have already been adopted.
The Shelter rescued 48 dogs from a suspected puppy mill in August. There are 22 ready for adoption.
Area residents had a chance to meet the animals and support the shelter, Sunday afternoon at Bark and Wine, a fundraiser on State Street in Greensboro. Attendees got the chance to sample wine and learn more about pet adoptions in our area.
