(Greensboro, NC) - The Greensboro Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested 20-year-old Daniel Rashad Gomez on 09-13-12 in connection with the homicide of Trevor Anthony Todd, Jr. Todd was fatally shot near the intersection of Pear Street and Moody Street on April 23, 2011.
Police were dispatched to the area a few minutes before 3 a.m. for a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, they observed a large scale party in progress, and discovered that 20-year-old Todd had been shot. Todd was transported by EMS to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died.
A Crime Stoppers tip helped connect Gomez to the incident.
Gomez was arrested without incident in Charlotte at an acquaintance's home with the assistance of the Charlotte Police Department's VCAT. He is charged with First Degree Murder, and confined in the Guilford County Jail without bond.
