Greensboro--Along with the sunny days a little rain must come. Those sunny days of last week have been replaced with clouds and an increased chance of showers as we start the new week.
The cold front that moved through the Piedmont yesterday has become stationary along the North Carolina and South Carolina boarder. A strong low pressure system will tack northeast along the front, Add to the mix a strong cold front that will approach Tuesday, and you have a good chance of rain and even thunderstorms on Tuesday.
As the cold front moves east of the Triad Tuesday night, Drier air will bring nice weather back to the Piedmont by Wednesday through Friday.
Rainfall amounts between today and late Tuesday should average 1" to 2".
High temperatures will average below normal for this time of year. Today and Monday the high will be near 72, with mid 70's expected on Tuesday.
Our normal high temperatures this time of year is 80, and our normal low temperature is 62.
