Triad -- A few disturbances are moving toward the Carolinas. They will keep us unsettled through Tuesday. A few showers are likely tonight with lows falling to the upper 50s.
An even better rain chance arrives on Monday. Showers are possible at any time. The best chance is in the afternoon when the rain could be heavy at times. There could even be a few thunderstorms. Temps will be a tad milder than Sunday but still only in the low 70s. The more rain we get could limit highs even more.
Tuesday is when an actual front will pull through. That will bring our biggest rain chance of the week and the best chance of severe weather. As of now, the greatest threat looks to be from damaging winds however, a small tornado threat isn't completely out of the question. We will continue to watch as the situation comes together. As for temps, there will be a surge of warm air before the front moves through and that will take highs to the upper 70s.
It will cool down after the front moves through on Wednesday. There could still be a few leftover showers in the morning but they shouldn't stick around long. The second half of the day will bring clearing skies and highs in the low 70s.
A warming trend will kick in for the last part of the week. The sun will be back with highs climbing to the upper 70s.
