Triad --  Tuesday, the weather is getting tricky in the Triad. As a cold front is pushes east.

While we are currently well ahead of the actual front, it is quite unsettled across the Piedmont.

We are under a Tornado Watch until 5:00 PM.  There is wind shear in the atmosphere over the Triad this afternoon.  Fortunately, it isn't the most unstable day.  Things would be much worse if there had been sun in the morning.  However, if any storm is strong enough when it moves into the sheared atmosphere, that could create rotation and possibly a tornado.

The front is currently still back over Tennessee right now.  It will move through the state tonight and calm things down considerably.  Before it does that, there will be one last wave of storms this evening.  The biggest threat from those storms will be heavy rains and gusty winds.

By Wednesday, there will only be a few morning showers before we dry out and cool down the rest of the day.
