Two researchers at Michigan State University say they have discovered a way to make 99-percent pure gold.
The process, which they call microbial alchemy, involves combining the bacterium Cupriavidus metallidurans with gold chloride. But don't get too excited. The researchers say it's likely too expensive to produce on a large scale.
