Greensboro - Early voting begins next Thursday in North Carolina, beginning the final stretch of a long campaign season.

The deadline to register to vote is Friday, October 12, and it only takes a one-page form to register.

The form must be postmarked by 5:00pm on Friday or the form can be dropped off at any Board of Election office.

However, if you do not register by Friday, you can still vote during early voting.

North Carolina has one stop voting that allows North Carolina residents to register and vote the same day.

This is only allowed during early voting which runs Oct. 18th through November 3rd.

Both republicans and democrats are preparing for very sophisticated get out the vote efforts.

Guilford County GOP Chairman Al Bouldin told News 2 that for voters who vote infrequently, it takes "between seven and ten phone calls" to get them to the polls.

Who ever you decide to vote for, most importantly, remember to vote!
