Wilkesboro, NC  --  On Monday evening at approximately 11:00, the Wilkesboro Police Department was called to an apartment home in reference to an assault.

When they arrived, officers spoke with 27-year-old Dennis Church and 24-year-old Shannon Dillard.. 

Dillard told authorities that Church had come to the apartment and started yelling at her, while Church was saying that Dillard's child
had taken a pair of his deer horns that he was going to have mounted.

It was determined that Church head-butted Ms. Dillard in the nose, while Church says that he merely tripped over his shoelaces and his head hit Dillard in the nose.
