TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- He's been campaigning for Mitt Romney across the United States, but New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie is praising President Barack Obama's response to the storm that came ashore in New Jersey yesterday.
Christie told CBS this morning that Obama's cooperation has been "outstanding," and that he "deserves great credit."
Obama also spoke with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and issued major disaster declarations for both states.
Christie says the cost from the storm is "incalculable at this point." He says the damage on the Jersey Shore is "some of the worst we've ever seen."
