Greensboro, NC -- The lingering abnormally cold air mass bring another cold night to the Triad Thursday night into Friday morning.
A clear sky Thursday night combined with the cold air mass will drop temperatures into the low-middle 30s in the immediate Triad by Friday morning. As a result the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for the Piedmont Triad from 2am-8am Friday.
Temperatures in low lying, rural areas over central North Carolina could even drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s if conditions allow.
These near and sub-freezing temperatures could kill crops and sensitive vegetation if not properly protected.
After 8am Friday temperatures will quickly begin to warm under abundant sunshine. High temperatures Friday afternoon will be in the upper 50s.
